eternal family

So over the last two weeks Ray and I have really been discussing our family and what we need to do over the next few years. We discussed graduation, missions, marriages, and going to the temple. My Father truly knows my heart. Today's talks were about becoming an eternal family. Sister Lacaz said something that really touched my spirit. It's along the same lines that my father-in-law used to say...."do you really want to take a chance on not being together forever." She was talking about being sealed as an eternal family. What I know is that my husband is my life, my children are my heart and I want them forever. I cannot imagine my life without them. Ray and I have hit alot of stumbling blocks in our eternal path. Hopefully we will find a way to over come them and do what we need to do to become an eternal family. In the meantime...I will continue to try to grow myself in everything I do.I want my family to know that I love them and I want to be with them through all of time and eternity.

Happy Birthday Trey

Today is Trey's birthday.....he's 20 now. I remember the day he was born like yesterday. He was due on 6/15....so of course I was overdue, and starting to think that he was never going to be born. I had irregular contractions the night before he was born and they tried to induce...no luck...went home around 4:00am. Ron, Teresa, and my wonderful honey decided to try induce labor themselves....I @ 9mos plus pregnant, did situps, jumping jacks, running in place, and still no baby. We went to bed around 6:00am. My water broke @ 10:00...Ray's first comment was "in the bed"..we had a brand new bed. So back to the hospital, only this time....no contractions....my son proved how stubborn he was before he was even born!! I was induced again and thankfully only had about 5 hours of labor. He was born @ 4:30pm...A beautiful 7lbs 1oz....21in...His Grandpa was sitting in the lobby with an it's a boy balloon(he knew it was a boy), his mamaw had been by my side for the last two nights and his Daddy was in the delivery room. Of course the rest of the family was there too. We were only in the hospital for about 17hours...then home....It only took me about 12 hours to realize my life had changed forever. Trey I am so glad you chose me for your mother. I love you so much son. Happy Birthday.

Happy Father's Day

Well today is Father's Day. I'd like to take a minute and say how very much I love my wonderful husband and the great dad that he is....I am so thankful to be his wife and forever partner. I also wanted to say how much I love my Dad. Our relationship, at best, is strained. I wish and pray that it was better. I know that I have learned through my wonderful husband that I don't want any thing to happen to my Dad and me regret that he doesn't know that although we can't seem to see eye to eye on many things......I will always love him. Happy Father's Day honey and Dad.....

Wow....a taste of the future

Next week our children are all going to camp....The boys are going to Arkansas and Tori is going to the Lord's lake camp....So, it's just going to be Ray and I for several days!!!Wow, a taste of future....But oh goodness, the knowledge of how little time we actually have left to raise our children is terrifying...They are not babies any more...2 sophomores+1 in jr high= about 5 years left of raising children. If they only knew how much hope I have for them....And how very much I love them...
